Hard Drive Migration
You cannot migrate to a new or larger boot drive by simply copying your files from one drive to another. That’s because this will not transfer the boot partition and the new drive will not be bootable. To migrate a boot drive, you can either rebuild the boot drive from scratch, application by application, or you can use drive migration software to transfer what’s called an image copy or drive image.
